Making a report is a serious undertaking and may have implications for the persons concerned.
As such, it is important to consider the veracity of the facts observed and the remarks reported in order to avoid being considered as defamatory.
For your information, the admissibility of the report will be evaluated through the following points
- does the report describe a harmful situation?
- Is the situation described sufficiently serious?
- Are the facts reported contrary to the law, regulations or the code of conduct?
- does the report include any documentation (photo, document, video, etc.)
- is the report disinterested and in good faith ?
- Has the author of the report personally witnessed the facts reported?
In order to respect the confidentiality and legitimate rights of our employees, all reports will be subject to a rigorous analysis and a detailed internal audit.
The confidentiality of the identity of the author of a disinterested and good faith report will be preserved when he or she denounces acts contrary to our code of ethics, criminal acts or offences of which he or she has personal knowledge.
